I recently heard about a StarCraft tournament that had a 25 BTC consolation prize! I’m sure many of you have heard about it, but I wanted to share my thoughts on it.
I think it’s great that the tournament organizers decided to offer such a generous prize. It shows that they are serious about the tournament and want to reward the players for their hard work and dedication. It also shows that they are willing to invest in the StarCraft community and help it grow.
I’m sure the players who participated in the tournament were thrilled to have the chance to win such a large prize. It’s a great incentive for players to continue to practice and improve their skills.
What do you think about the tournament and the 25 BTC consolation prize? Do you think it was a good move by the tournament organizers?
We get it, Bitcoin used to be thrown out like confetti. Quit reminding us how rich we could all be if we got in earlier
If you got 25 BTC as a consolation prize in a StarCraft tournament in 2011, you’re now richer than the winner of the 2023 StarCraft World Championship.
Back then the last place winners were actually tournament champs without even knowing.
To be fair, if I’ve would won any money with gaming back in 2013 the younger me would have spent it all on beer and videogames (:
Anyone else no clue what StarCraft is? π
I just lost the love of my life but this is sadder
Imagine winning 1st place and you see this post years later.
Wonder if any of the 3 winners held their Bitcoin.
They probably lost them or sold them right away
In 10 years you will see storyβs about how people were earning moons by posting on a sub and became millionaires
5th-8th places are more richer than 1st place.
Little did they know coming 1st to 4th was actually a punishment
Weβre soon gonna look at Moons giveaways the same way
I would like some consolation for enduring this bear please.
Well pitty that I didnt play that tournament I would be happy like 8th place
