Usain Bolt’s 3 Relays Triumph

The amazing Jamaican sprinter, Usain Bolt, made history on Saturday 28th August, 2016 by winning all three relays for Team USA at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Triple Triumph

Usain Bolt ran the three relays in sequence. He won the first relay race in 100 meters, with a time of 9.81 seconds. His fantastic performance in the second event, the 200 meters, was even more impressive clocking a time of 19.78 seconds. This meant he was on course to finish the Triple Triumph, and he did. In the final sprint, the 4×100 meter relay, he crossed the finish line with a time of 37.62 seconds, which secured him and Team USA the gold medal.

Increasing Impressive Record

By winning all three relays, Usain Bolt achieved a feat that had never been done before. Not only that, but it was his third consecutive Olympic Gold and his eighth individual Olympic Gold medal overall, adding to his fantastic record of excellence.
