  1. Calm down chicken little. It’s very easy to show authorities a statement of account showing asset growth.

(And if FINTRAC is involved in any of this process then the authorities will already know)

  2. I mean fucking time. BC has been a playground for rich Chinese folks and driving up our housing costs. It’s a major port for drug trafficking too.

Bitcoin is boundary less and color less but this fucking shit in Van City needs to stop.

  3. When you delegate power to the government to take property without due process or evidence of wrongdoing then people that like to take things and control others will gravitate toward those positions. The intent for forfeiting this right to the government may be to stop gangs and criminals, but human history shows that it will not go well over time. This is the number one reason for preventing increases in government power and control.

  4. Crypto aside – This is one of the reason many people that have money keep said money in different countries where they reside. 100% legally, of course (unless you live in North Korea). You can never be too safe. Governments have the monopoly of violence, and it can happen in ANY part of the world that you get investigated and the government wants to seize your assets as a precaution. The bare minimum you can do is to make it difficult for your government to seize your money. If you have all your assets in the country where you live, that’s simply too risky.

  5. Sounds great. We’re talking about criminal money laundering here. This isn’t about Joe down the street who got a little extra cash doing some side projects.

THE SKY IS FALLING! MY RIGHTS! MY FREEDOMS!

  6. Welcome to the British Columbia NDP lol. Maybe you idiots will stop voting for them after you lose all your freedoms. They’re just a chip off the old block from the federal Liberals under Justin Trudeau. Canadians keep voting that clown in also. Canada is a fascist joke of a country and its citizens like it that way.
