Creating a Tool to Streamline the Process of Transferring Your Vault Address to a Hardware Wallet

33

If you’re a cryptocurrency investor, you know how important it is to keep your digital assets safe. One of the best ways to do this is to store them in a hardware wallet. But transferring your digital assets from a Vault address to a hardware wallet can be a complicated and time-consuming process.

That’s why I created a tool to make it easier to move your Vault address to a hardware wallet. This tool simplifies the process by automating the steps involved in transferring your digital assets. It also provides a secure and reliable way to store your digital assets.

The tool is easy to use. All you have to do is enter your Vault address and the address of your hardware wallet. The tool will then generate a transaction that will move your digital assets from your Vault address to your hardware wallet.

The tool also provides a secure way to store your digital assets. It uses advanced encryption technology to ensure that your digital assets are safe and secure. It also provides a backup feature that allows you to restore your digital assets in case of an emergency.

Overall, this tool makes it easy to move your Vault address to a hardware wallet. It simplifies the process and provides a secure and reliable way to store your digital assets. If you’re a cryptocurrency investor, I highly recommend using this tool to keep your digital assets safe.

  1. Appreciate the effort! Hope one day Reddit makes it a built-in feature. Just keep in mind people are scammed quite often in here so there might be not that many who actually uses it, taking aside technical difficulties 🙂 But anyways, great tool!

  3. Awesome. It actually take maturity to admit that you’re not capable to securing your hot wallet and moving to using a hardware wallet. The hardware wallet can definitely be more cumbersome but worth it. Remember:

    1. Always send a test transaction first.
    2. Only transfer as much funds as you actually need.
    3. Always use a burner wallet as an in-between to your hardware wallet and smart contracts to protect against rogue smart contracts, hacks or exploits.
    4. Get in the habit of using apps like [revoke.cash](https://revoke.cash) to remove approvals or limit amount of accessible funds from your wallet to protect your wallet being drained in case of malicious activity

  4. How does this not affect your future distributions? This is what’s been so confusing for me. Can I just change the reddit address and move all my moons there and continue to get future distributions without penalty? I’m more concerned about the rules/politics then the technical know how. I’m sure I can figure it out but don’t even try cuz I don’t want to screw myself

  5. Sweet. Good job OP, I was going to attempt to create my own address on my Trezor when I got home and create a custom wallet for my Moons, but if you got it to work, I’ll get it to work!!

FYI, if it’s supported by Metamask, you can get it on hardware, even if the hardware support doesn’t exist!

  6. Genuinely curious, why would you do this when you can just send the avatar to the polygon address created and controlled by a hardware wallet?
