2. You don’t ever walk away and ignore things, because they can and do change spectacularly.

I’m not here to criticize anyone but that’s a lessons to be learned here. I’m new to crypto and really loved Doge and still believe in this is a very if not the most relevant of all meme coins out there. What I’ve learned is that never ever trust the middle man to hold your coins. Just invest some more in a hardware, cold wallet and that’s it.
I’m really sorry to what happened to you brother and you’re not alone and others may have lost even more that that.
I don’t think you ever had any DOGE, their total crypto holdings was only like 600$, or maybe your DOGE was all they had.
You maybe able to file a charge back on your purchase if you used your bank or a credit card. Maybe look into it.

If it’s on an app you don’t own any doge. You own an IOU for the exchange to give you actual doge when you decide to take it off the exchange and into a cold wallet.
I’d you care about your crypto keep it in a cold wallet.
CEX is not the way. Consider it a cheap way to learn a more expensive lesson.

I think the more people move over to hardware wallet then the chance of these exchanges going bust increases. I need to get one fast or maybe move to a paper wallet temporarily.
I moved over 20k (avg .002) doge to my ledger as soon as RH enabled crypto transfers. Lost 20k USDC to Celsius, APY greed!! Too good to be true, lesson learned, moving on. We’ll see if my Celsius “claims” will get my money back come January… 🙁
