IOTA Foundation CEO Unilaterally Announces 60% Increase in Token Supply[DRAMA] in a unilateral decision IOTA Foundation CEO announces 60% new token supply

I’m really concerned about the unilateral decision by the IOTA Foundation CEO to increase the token supply by 60%. This is a huge change and it could have a dramatic effect on the value of the token. I’m worried that this could lead to a lot of drama in the IOTA community and I’m not sure if it’s the right decision. Has anyone else heard anything about this? What do you think about it?

  1. IOTA has always been a cash grab. Totally centralized sql database managed by a company pretending they’d become decentralized.

Now 6 years later their “step to decentralization” means picking a few friends to also run the chain while printing themselves $200M in tokens. If you buy or hold this you genuinely are a fool and those tokens will be dumped on your head.

  2. …and this is why decentralization matters (and tokenomics too). Beginners are well advised to heed this principle.

I’ll certainly keep this example loaded and ready for whenever someone is arguing centralized blockchains.
