I made a check deposit a couple of days in the past and it arrived. Now I am making an attempt to make one other and to my shock the ledger is giving me a special tackle than the one beforehand used.
Is that this regular? Am i compromised?

Yes it’s normal. It’s for privacy reasons.
Hierarchical Deterministic wallets scheme defines a method for deriving a practically unlimited number of public and private keys from a single extended key.
Its a bit confusing at first but look into BIP 32, BIP 44, BIP 49 and BIP 84.
This should explain the different account showing up, its one of many addresses that can be generated by your wallet to increase security, although the old one should still be usable if you prefer.
