  1. WassaWassaWassup! Scam Alert! Scammers are particularly active on this sub. They operate via private messages and private chat. If you receive private messages, be extremely careful. Use the **report** link to report any suspicious private message to Reddit.

  3. I would recommend you to test it first, make a wallet and send a small amount of money to it from your account, so you can see clearly all the infos that the person is getting.

  4. Your information is not stored on the blockchain. The only way he could get your information is if he bribed someone at Binance to give him your information and that is extremely unlikely.

  5. The information is anonymous to them. However, there are people who will likely know who you are and who the other party is.

Binance has to make available to those with power (government, police) when compelled, your personal details and all the transactions and addresses associated.

Your counterparty may also be using Binance, then Binance knows everything. If not, they may be using another exchange, then people in power have the ability to know everything. They may have a self custodial wallet, but are not taking privacy precautions and linking your payment with buys from an exchange. In this case, companies like chainalysis can work out what is happenning, they sell that data to exchanges who attribute identity to that and either Binance knows everything at this point, or at least the people in power.

The CIA definitely knows everything, they collect data without asking permission.

So, no. Not COMPLETELY anonymous, but between you and the counterparty, you are anonymous.

Of course, if they ask your name and any identifying information and you give it to them, you are no longer anonymous (obviously).
